Where Christian congregations and organizations find themselves in a diaspora situation, it is natural to pursue church development with a missionary approach. But what is the meaning of the programmatic concept of missionary church development?
Starting out from a concept of mission, which understands itself as a concept of crisis and reform, various current concepts and their theological backgrounds are explored. A wide range of fields of practice is thereby brought into focus – from the ecumenism of mission to innovative forms of congregation. Especially the secular and intercultural contexts of the contemporary churches are taken into account.
