Samuel Butler
Erewhon Revisited (Barnes & Noble Digital Library) [EPUB ebook]

Stöd

In Erewhon, Butler’s hero Higgs had escaped from Erewhon by means of a balloon. In this 1901 sequel, he returns to find that he is now worshipped as a god.  Butler himself viewed the novel as being ’far more wicked than Erewhon, ’ and generations of delighted readers have agreed.

Om författaren

Samuel Butler (1835-1902) was an English novelist, essayist, and critic. He wrote on Christian orthodoxy, evolutionary thought, and Italian art.  He is best known for The Way of All Flesh (1903), a semiautobiographical novel, which, with ferocious wit and palpable anger, skewers the pernicious effects of religious hypocrisy.
