Sam Rocha is an academic, author, and musician. His interests involve and revolve–and evolve–around philosophy, music, and religion. He is an assistant professor of philosophy of education at the University of British Columbia, a blogger at ’Patheos Catholic, ’ book reviews editor for Studies in Philosophy and Education, and a section editor for Syndicate Theology. His most recent book is A Primer for Philosophy and Education (Cascade Books, 2014) and two more are forthcoming in 2015 and 2016: Folk Phenomenology: Education, Study, and the Human Person (Pickwick Publications) and A Phenomenology of the Poor: An Introduction to Ivan Illich (Cascade Books).
