Thomas D. Darby, a twenty-first century radical, was born August 3, 1925, in South Carolina. A distinguished professor emeritus, he spent his career in medical education. He has sixty-five papers in edited scientific journals and has published one book. He and his wife, Eunice, have three children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
