W. J. Timmerman holds a Ph D in Counseling and Diplomate, American Psychotherapy Association. He has served as an adjunct professor at Bowling Green State University and the Medical College of Ohio. He founded A Quiet Place in Ohio as a Christian healing, counseling and prayer center open to the community for no charge. He received an Open Arms award from Bishop Leonard P. Blair, Diocese of Toledo, Ohio in 2007. He and his wife have six children and thirteen grandchildren.
