Claudia Max studierte an der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf Literaturübersetzen mit dem Schwerpunkt Anglistik/Amerikanistik. Seit 2008 ist sie freiberufliche Literaturübersetzerin und hat bisher ca. 80 Werke aus dem Englischen übertragen. 2010 war sie Stipendiatin der Berliner Übersetzerwerkstatt, ihre Arbeit wurde mehrfach mit Stipendien des Deutschen Übersetzerfonds gefördert. 2023 war sie für den Deutschen Jugendliteraturpreis nominiert. Sie lebt in Berlin, aber am liebsten ist sie auf Reisen, in Büchern und in der Welt.
