Thomas De Witt Talmage (1832–1902) was a revered American Presbyterian preacher, clergyman, and writer known for his evangelical fervor and passionate sermons that captivated vast audiences in the United States and abroad. Born in Bound Brook, New Jersey, Talmage was educated at the University of the City of New York (now New York University) and later at the Reformed Dutch Theological Seminary.
