Desmond J. Roberson, Sr is the son of Dexter Roberson and Tammy Monlyn. He is married to Tammy M. Roberson. They have 4 children. Desmond is a national recording artist with the group “Bishop Carl Joseph & The Spiritual Tru-Tones”. He has been with the group for almost 12 years. Along with the group, Desmond has appeared on “The Bobby Jones Gospel Show” along with other local T.V shows. Desmond is the group’s manager, 2nd lead singer, and keyboardist. He is a member of the Unity choir of Madison, under the direction of one of his influences: Min. Kechia Robinson. He’s written poems and songs all his life. Desmond also performed with the house band for the urban stage show “Scrambled Eggs”. He has shared the stage with gospel greats: Shirley Caesar, The Clark Sisters, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Mary Mary, The Canton Spirituals, David & Tamila Mann, Lee Williams, Kierra Sheard, The Caravans, Marvin Sapp, J Moss, and the list goes on. Desmond attended Full Sail Real World Education and North Florida Community College. He performed with several choirs over the years, and is now the Director of Music at Pineland M.B Church. His pastor is Dr. Charlie Barfield and he is now a member of Pineland Missionary Baptist Church. He is currently employed at a Juvenile Justice program for troubled youth called Twin Oaks Vocational Academy where he is the Program Director of The Boys & Girls Club at that facility. This is his first book.
