I Am a Cat is a children’s picture book that’s told from the point of view of a household cat. Designed to educate young children about cat behavior and care, the picture book is written in the form of several simple-to-read poem puzzles. Each puzzle asks the reader a question. Marina Saumell graduated with a degree in architecture in 2003 and embarked on a career in commercial architecture. The birth of her child and growing love of children’s books inspired her to venture into book illustration. Since 2006, Marina has joyously followed her passion for drawing and illustration. She has illustrated more than 30 children’s books, engaging all kinds of audiences from early readers to young adults.
