He has a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Journalism from the Durban University of Technology and is the recipient of the coveted Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung International Scholarship (Germany). His writing has appeared in various publications, including The Witness, Sunday Times (Lifestyle), Mercury, Sunday Tribune, Independent on Saturday, Daily News, Sunday World, Politicsweb, Bizcommunity.com and The New Age. He is currently a director of speech writing for the minister of basic education.
