Kevin Major wurde 1949 in Stephenville in Neufundland geboren. Einige seiner Werke wurden verfilmt, fürs Theater bearbeitet und übersetzt. 1992 wurde er mit dem Vicky Metcalf Award ausgezeichnet. Mit seiner Frau und seinem Hund lebt Major in St. John’s, im Osten von Kanada.
2020 erschien bereits sein Roman »Caribou« bei Pendragon. Mit »One for the Rock« startete er seine Sebastian-Synard-Krimireihe. Nach »Two for the Tablelands« wird als 3. Band »Three for Trinity« erscheinen.
