Lawrence Schimel was born in New York and has lived in Madrid, Spain, for over 20 years. Writing in both Spanish and English, he has published over 100 books in a variety of genres. His children’s works have been selected for the White Ravens catalogue and also by IBBY for the Outstanding Books for Young Readers with Disabilities category, among other honors. He recently won the Crystal Kite Award for his book Do you want to read a book with me?, also published by Callis Editora.
