‘His snack was quite tasty as carrots can be until his loose tooth decided to flee.’
Beautifully illustrated by Elizabeth Mc Cullough, this children’s picture book titled Where’s Hare’s Tooth? was written by Lois Solverud. The story is for beginning readers. Parents and adults will also enjoy the funny rhyming text as much as the young readers. It is a splendidly witty picture book that kids will love to read over and over again.
‘For seven years, my collie (therapy dog) and I have listened to first and second graders as they practice their reading skill. We service two area grade schools, and the learning experience has been as much mine as the children’s. What I have found is that losing baby teeth is a big deal with most kids. They can’t wait to show someone the gaping hole in their toothless smiles. This was part of the inspiration of my book. The other inspiration was hearing how much the students like to read in rhyme, it is like singing a song without the tune.’
