Sr. Laurie Brink, OP, is Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies at Catholic Theological Union, Chicago. She investigates the ancient social, religious, and cultural world out of which early Christianity emerged. Having worked as a senior staff member for the Combined Caesarea Expeditions, Brink continues to do research in the archaeology of ancient Israel. Along with Deborah Green, she edited Commemorating the Dead: Texts and Artifacts in Context (2007), Biblische Zeitschrift (2005, 2006), National Catholic Reporter (2000), and Vocation and Prayer (1997-1998). Brink is a Dominican Sister of Sinsinawa.
