His debut story collection, We Don’t Know What We’re Doing (Faber and Faber), won the 2016 Wales Books of the Year, the Rhys Davies Trust Fiction Award, and a Somerset Maugham Prize. His collection of stories Open Up was longlisted for the Dylan Thomas Prize.
