Tony played in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th tier of English professional football, but sadly fell victim to a very serious gambling addiction throughout his 8 years as a professional, losing over £500.000 in the process, as well as his house, personal possessions, and the breakdown of his 20-year relationship. Tony fought back against his addiction, against all odds, and shared his story on national television in 2013 on BBC BREAKFAST, in front of 6.7 million viewers, culminating in him publishing his first book – RED CARD, in 2014.
