Dr Violeta Jurkovič teaches English for Specific Purposes at the Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. She holds a Ph.D. in language teaching methodology. Her research interests lie in maritime communication, Maritime English, online informal learning of languages, and professional development of teachers of languages for specific purposes.
