Kidd (Ph D, University of Notre Dame) is research professor of church history at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and the author of numerous books, including Thomas Jefferson: A Biography of Spirit and Flesh and George Whitefield: America’s Spiritual Founding Father. Kidd lives with his wife, Ruby, and their two sons, Jonathan and Joshua.
