Thomas Kolnberger ist promovierter Historiker (Universitäten Luxemburg und Passau) mit den Forschungsschwerpunkten Militärgeschichte, Sepulkralkultur und Stadtgeschichte. Zuletzt Projektkoordinator (Military History of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg in a Transnational Perspective) am Historischen Institut der Universität Luxemburg (IHIST.).
Benoît Niederkorn studierte Neuere und Neueste Geschichte in Freiburg und Regensburg. Nach seiner Masterarbeit zur Logistikproblematik der österreichischen Truppen im Etappengebiet Luxemburg im 18. Jahrhundert arbeitet er seit 2017 als Museumsleiter im Musée National d”Histoire Militaire. Aktuelles Forschungsgebiet ist das unmittelbare Kriegsende in Luxemburg und dessen Neuanfang mit dem Wiederaufbau.
