Diese Arbeit beleuchtet die Rolle der Musik in propagandistischen Kontexten, wobei insbesondere der Missbrauch zur Konstruktion und Legitimation politischer Systeme im Fokus steht. Anhand zweier historischer Beispiele – der Nationalsozialismus in Deutschland (1933-1945) und die französische Propaganda-Strategie in der deutschen Besatzungszone (1945-1950) – wird die effektive Nutzung von Musik als Propagandainstrument analysiert. Eine einleitende Betrachtung des Begriffs ‘Propaganda’ und dessen Beziehung zur Musik bietet den theoretischen Rahmen für diese Untersuchung.
