Raised in Georgia, Ann Wright attended public school in Lagrange and college at what is now known as Georgia College. An avid reader, she loved poetry most, and was particularly inspired by Shakespeare and such romantics as Keats, Shelly, Byron, and Wordsworth. She loves all types of poetry, and reads contemporary published and novice poets. Ann began writing poetry as a child, sometimes set to music written by others.
Ann worked for years in the airline and construction industry, focusing on computer, audit and financial processing. Her jobs were always high profile, stessful, and time consuming. She wrote intermittently during her working career, However, all her jobs involved producing documents that were accurate, insightful and tactful; to some extent, this has been a good influence on her writing.
Ann lives in Peachtree City, Georgia, where she has taken an active interest in the local library. She belongs to the Peachtree City Writers Group and the Georgia Writers Association. Widely traveled, she has been to many foreign countries and all seven continents. She hopes to travel more extensively in her own country.
Now retired, Ann writes full time, mainly poetry. However, she has produced essays, short stories, and is working on an murder mystery novel. Her first love remains poetry. Quest for Faith is her first attempt at publishing her work. She hopes that readers will share her love of poetry and fascination with our universe.
