Oft male ich Bilder, die dem Kitsch ähnlich sind. Für mich ist das eine Überhöhung, die ich nicht ernst meine. Ich transformiere Kitsch in Kunst. Dies ist für mich reine Ironie. Trivialität wird zur Kunst erhoben und somit löse ich den Kitsch im Himmel auf.
Ich nenne es: Plastic White Trash!

Über die Künstlerin:
Pola Polanski wurde 1966 in Ulm geboren. Von 1991-1997
studierte sie Grafik-Design an der Merz-Akademie für
Gestaltung in Stuttgart und von 1997-1998 Malerei und
Performance an der Staatlichen Akademie der Künste. In den Folgejahren arbeitete sie als Schriftstellerin und Grafikerin.
Im Jahr 2011 nahm sie die Malerei wieder auf. Als Künstlerin beansprucht Pola Polanski außerdem die Künstleridentität
Amy Hany. Seit 2011 hat sie ca. 1000 Bilder gemalt. Sie lebt und arbeitet in Stuttgart.
