Annie Jones Holmes is an author, a playwright, and an orator. She was born in historical Marion, Alabama. She attended the public elementary and high school system. Annie furthered her studies in business office administration in Chicago, and New York. She served eleven years as the executive administrative assistant to the territorial manager of Sears in the Midwest branch in Chicago, Illinois. She retired after twenty seven years of service with the State of Alabama judicial system. She received honors as Woman of the Year by NAPW of New, York, Women of Distinction magazine, Who’s Who in the Strathmore Journal of Farmingdale, New York. She is now retired and spends her time writing and directing plays that she has written in the service of the church and community. Annie resides in Helena, Alabama, with her husband, Willie.
