The Warden Anthony Trollope – The Warden, published in 1855, is the first book in Anthony Trollope’s Chronicles of Barsetshire series of six novels. It was his fourth novel. The Chronicles of Barsetshire is a series of six novels by the English author Anthony Trollope, set in the fictitious cathedral town of Barchester. These classics of Victorian literature concern the dealings of the clergy and the gentry, and the political, amatory, and social manuvrings that go on among and between them.

Anthony Trollope became one of the most successful, prolific and respected English novelists of the Victorian era.
