He was born in Greece and has lived in Africa for 10 years. He teaches English in state schools in Greece but has taught Greek and English at Greek schools in South Africa, DR Congo and Zimbabwe. He has a degree in English and a Masters degree in Education. He is fluent in a few western European and Slavic languages and has also learned some Swahili and Shona. He was taught Latin and Ancient Greek at school. His interests include wild life, photography, the arts, foreign languages and travelling among others.
