Fahad Aziz, MD, MBA, FASN, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin, where he is a faculty member in the Division of Nephrology. He specializes in providing comprehensive care for individuals with a wide range of kidney-related health issues, including those who have undergone kidney transplant. Dr. Aziz is dedicated to advancing the field through education and mentorship, as evidenced by his leadership of the Nephrology Fellowship Program at the university. As a transplant nephrologist, Dr. Aziz has published over 100 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and has authored and edited four books. In addition to his clinical and educational roles, he also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Wisconsin Medical Journal, highlighting his commitment to sharing medical knowledge and improving healthcare practices. Dr. Aziz has a strong passion for medical education and has a wealth of experience teaching nephrology to various learners, including medical and physician assistant students, internal medicine residents, and nephrology fellows. He also regularly conducts continuing medical education seminars for other healthcare professionals. His expertise is widely recognized, as he is an active member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), and the American Society of Transplantation (AST). Dr. Aziz also contributes his insights and leadership as a board member of the National Kidney Foundation’s Wisconsin Chapter, furthering his involvement in the medical community. Dana Clark, MA, is a highly accomplished professional with a rich academic background and extensive experience in academic affairs. She began her career in academia before transitioning into a career in academic medicine. Ms. Clark has contributed to the publication of 20 manuscripts and book chapters. Currently, Ms. Clark is Director of Faculty Appointments & Promotions at Maine Health and is an Instructor at Tufts University School of Medicine. Always committed to knowledge sharing working with others, Ms. Clark’s current focus is on empowering junior faculty on the beginning of their careers and empowering them through academic pursuits and career advancement.
Arjang Djamali, MD, MS, FASN, FACP, is the Maurice S. Segal, M.D., Chair of Medicine by the Tufts University Board of Trustees. Dr. Djamali joined Maine Medical Center (part of the Maine Health system) in January 2022 as chair of medicine and Vice President of the Adult Medicine Service Line. He now serves as professor of medicine at TUSM and plays an important role in the clinical training of MD students who rotate in the Maine Health system, including members of the Maine Track program. Prior to joining Maine Medical Center, Dr. Djamali was on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW Health), where he rose through the ranks to the position of tenured professor of medicine and surgery and head of nephrology. As a transplant nephrologist and scientist with more than 200 manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Djamali is considered a national leader in the areas of antibody mediated processes and kidney transplant outcomes. He has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), foundations, and industry throughout his career and has been a member of the NIH’s, Veterans Affairs Hospital’s, and national societies’ grant review panels; a member of advisory panels to the FDA and pharmaceutical industry; an invited speaker nationally and internationally; and a member of planning committees for national and international society meetings. Dr. Djamali has held three INDs (investigational new drugs in clinical trials in transplants) and served as the associate editor of Kidney360, the most recent publication from the American Society of Nephrology.
