Ki-Hyang Lee, geboren 1967 in Seoul, studierte Germanistik, Pädagogik und Japanologie in Seoul, Würzburg und München, promovierte 2001 und gründete 2011 den Märchenwaldverlag. Neben der Arbeit als Übersetzerin und Verlegerin lehrt Ki-Hyang Lee seit 2015 als Sprachdozentin an der Technischen Universität München. Zu den von ihr übersetzten Autoren gehören Han Kang, Hwang Sun-Won, Jooyoung Kim, I-Seol Kim, Haemin Sunim, Sung-U Lee, Do Hyun Ahn, Song Sok-ze und Jong-Rae Jo. Sie lebt in München.
