In doing so, he presents a ‘history of reason and rationality’ by examining the intellectual and political contexts of four representative theorists of reason and rationality– Plato, Machiavelli, Kant, and Weber—and by addressing contemporary challenges posed by postmodernism, depth psychology, and neurophilosophy.
