Dr. Georg Kanert ist seit 2005 Realschullehrer für die Fächer Geschichte, Politik/Wirtschaftslehre und Technik. Von 2010 bis 2013 war er im Rahmen der Promotion als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an die Pädagogische Hochschule Heidelberg abgeordnet (Schwerpunkte in der Lehre: Frühe Neuzeit, Badische Geschichte, Regionalgeschichte und Geschichtsdidaktik). Seit Sommer 2013 ist er zum Zwecke der Habilitation in ein hochschulübergreifendes Forschungsprojekt zur Kompetenzdiagnose bei angehenden Lehrkräften eingebunden.
