Lloyd B. Thomas is Professor of Economics and Department Head at Kansas State University, USA. He has published in numerous economics journals and has written several textbooks, including Money, Banking, and Economic Activity (Prentice-Hall: 1979, 1982, 1986) and Principles of Economics (Harcourt, Brace, Jovanovich: 1990, 1993, co-authored with James Ragan). His most recent textbook, entitled Money, Banking, and Financial Markets, was published by Mc Graw-Hill in 1997. Thomas has served as a visiting professor at the University of California-Berkeley, University of Delaware, and Indiana University-Bloomington. His work has appeared in Economic Letters, Journal of Economic Perspectives, Business Economics, and Quarterley Review of Economics and Finance.
