Yazar: M. L. Sastry

M.L. Sastry (b.1925), did his M.A. (Econ.) from Ihc Andhra University, Waltair. He has been continuously assisted with Finance & Planning issues both at the Union and the State level during the planned era since 1950 till to-date. The book is an out-come of his association with Planning Department in Sikkim, Sixth Finance Commission and Finance Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh. He has contributed extensively to the documentation including Seminars on subjects relating to Finance & Planning, particularly during his tenure as Consultant to Government of Andhra Pradesh and also the Centre for Economic and Social Studies, Hyderabad. G.R. Reddy (b, 1945) and his MA. (Econ.) from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He taught economics for four years at the Collegiate level before joining the Indian Economic Service in 1971. Subsequently he worked in the Ministry of Agriculture and the Bureau of Industrial Costs and Prices in Government of India. Since 1981, he has been working, on deputation, with Government of Andhra Pradesh specially on issues related to State Finances and Centre-State Financial Relations. His papers on these subjects have been published in Economic Times, Financial Express and two edited volumes related to Financial matters.
