V. Venkatasuhmmanian, is presently working as Sr. Scientist (Agricultural Extension) and Officer-in-Charge KVK-C.T.R.I . Rajahmundry He got his masters and doctoral degree in the field of Dairy Extension Education from National Dairy Research Institute (1CAR), Karnal and received Gold Medal for his toppcrship in the Master and Doctoral Programmes. Apart from his life membership in ten professional societies, he is also associated with several National and International developmental agencies as an Extension Management Specialist. He acted as a steering committee member in the UNDP Project on Coral Reef Management and served as Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Andaman Science Association. He also served as General Secretary of the Andaman Science Association and organised national level symposiums. He has been awarded with the prestigious Young Scientists’ Award for the year 1997-98 by the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi. He has also invented banana fibre extraction for the benefit and farming community. His authorship spans to more than 60 research papers, review articles and fourteen books. A.K. Singh obtained his M.Sc. Dairying (Dairy Extension) in 1990 and Ph.D. Dairying (Dairy Extension Education) in 1995 from NDRI (ICAR). Presently, he is working as Scientist (Ag. Extn.) in the I.A.R.I. Regional station at Indore (MP). His work experience includes handling of Transfer of Technology projects viz Frontline Demonstrations, Assessment and Refinement of Production Technologies, and Organization national level training programmes. The author has published more than 10 research papers and produced 3 Training Manuals and Extension Literature. S.V.N. Rao is presently working as Professor and Head, Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension at Rajiv Gandhi College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pondicherry. He obtained his Master and doctoral degrees from NDRI, Karnal. During his tenure as Sr. Scientist at NDRI, he was actively involved in organising various field extension activities and teaching of post-graduate courses in extension and management. He underwent training in Extension Management and Farming Systems Research in the Netherlands and U.K. and had experience in working with Indo-Dutch Collaborative project and indo-UK higher education link programme. Dr. Rao presented a number of papers in various national and international seminars. He has also guided M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. He has 33 research articles to his credit.
