Now captured by Le Croix on their plane, Kingston and Shade have to figure out a way to not only free themselves but their parents. They put up one helluva fight but Le Croix and his men were able to subdue the treacherous husband and wife team. They gave Le Croix a preview of what all the people of Kingston, Jamaica were talking about. And he realized that Shade was the flicker to the flame of Kingston and his emotions.
Cynthia’s house had become the prison for all of her naysayers and they would soon find out that Chauncey’s rotting corpse is being kept in a room just down the hall. Cynthia is happy that Kingston was caught because she wanted to gloat about the fact that she married Chauncey and will soon be the person in control of his fate. However, she underestimates the love that Shade has for Kingston. And will soon find the one person that she hates more than Shade; her mother Palms, will be the one person who continues to get in her way.
What will happen when everyone is forced to sit at the dinner table together and Le Croix is the master of ceremonies? Will secrets that loom over people’s heads be revealed to a room full of shocked attendees? Will Cynthia’s devious hand be revealed by a surprised dinner guest who showed up to dinner unbeknownst to everyone except Le Croix? And how will Kingston and Shade respond when the stranger reveals an unforeseen blow to the loving couple? Family is everything to Kingston and he’ll be damned if his goes down in flames!
