The Jin Dynasty, a dynasty with little historical presence, ended one troubled era and ushered in another. In the Jin Dynasty, as the exclusive status of Confucianism was broken, innovations emerged in philosophy, literature, art, history, and science and technology, some of which became independent disciplines. There were native-developed metaphysics, Taoism, and Buddhism transmitted from India. The grassland culture of the border ethnic groups and the Chinese culture of the Jin Dynasty gradually developed cultural exchanges and ethnic integration. Although the culture of the Jin Dynasty moved towards diversified development, an era of cultural creation, conflict, and integration, it was also a period of discontinuity in the cultural inheritance of the Qin and Han dynasties. The decline of culture led to the rapid collapse of its new political system. We must learn from history.
