Profesora del Centro Irlandés de Derechos Humanos de la Universidad Nacional de Galway, en Irlanda. Obtuvo su doctorado en Derecho en la School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) [Escuela de Estudios Orientales y Africanos], Universidad de Londres en 2012. Durante su posgrado fue asistente de cátedra en la SOAS, dando clases sobre procesos de justicia y reconciliación en las sociedades posconflicto. Antes de su carrera académica, trabajó en organizaciones de las Naciones Unidas, tales como OACNUDH y el PNUD, en Chile y Botsuana, en las áreas de Derechos Humanos y Gobierno. Sus intereses de investigación incluyen la justicia de transición, comisiones de verdad, memoria, derecho y reconciliación.
