Dana Percec is a Senior Lecturer in the English Department of the University of the West in Timişoara, Romania, where she teaches English literature. Her doctoral thesis was on the experience of embodiment in William Shakespeare”s plays. Her published work includes titles such as The Body”s Tale: Some Ado about Shakespearean Identities (2006), Shakespeare and the Theatre: An Introduction (2008), cultural history guides and collections of essays on contemporary Romanian culture and society. She has edited several collections of articles on literary theory, published in Romanian, including a volume devoted to the success of the historical fiction in today”s culture. Her interests include cultural studies, gender studies and cultural anthropology.
