Hugh Lofting was a prolific British author in the 20th century best known for writing books for children.  Lofting’s most famous work are the novels featuring Doctor Dolittle, one of the most famous characters in children’s literature.

The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle is the second novel of the series.  The book details Dolittle’s adventures to Spidermonkey island.
