Author Biography
M.J.P. Padre is a new, exciting, American Civil War historical novelist with a unique background. Padre has written local community newspaper and sports magazine columns for the Sacramento area. He has been a Civil War re-enactor for the past sixteen years and spent thirteen years as a Chaplain in community veterans organizations, where he had firsthand experience helping people with their lives. In addition to this, he spent six years as a member of the Center for Military History, of the California State Military Reserve. Padre is married to Sharon, who is a volunteer docent at the Sacramento Zoo. They have two cats, Rocky and Puddin, and reside in Sacramento, California.
