Pushpa Naidu Parekh, Ph D, is a professor of English and director of African Diaspora and the World at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She has taught and published in the areas of British, postcolonial (including African and South Asian diaspora studies), and US immigrant literatures. An award-winning poet, she has had work published in various creative writing journals and collections and has contributed to the Atlanta Indian community journal, Khabar.
