‘Well, young man, ‘ the doctor said as he gently pressed a stethoscope to my chest, ‘what do you want to do when you grow up?’
I wasn’t completely sure if the good doctor would understand hearing a little kid say, I’m going to be and evangelist, so I opted for a simpler answer: ‘I’m going to be a speaker.’
His eyebrows raised as he continued to listen to my lungs. ‘Well, you can give that up. You could never do that with your problem.’
