Wolfgang Benz, Prof. Dr., geb. 1941, ist einer der renommiertesten deutschen Zeithistoriker. Er lehrte von 1990 bis 2011 an der Technischen Universität Berlin und leitete das Zentrum für Antisemitismusforschung an der TU. In seinen Forschungen und Veröffentlichungen beschäftigt sich Wolfgang Benz mit Vorurteilen und ihren Ausprägungen in Antisemitismus, Antiziganismus, Fremdenfeindlichkeit und Rassismus und veröffentlichte zahlreiche Standardwerke zur Geschichte des Nationalsozialismus. 1992 erhielt er den Geschwister-Scholl-Preis, 2012 wurde er mit dem Preis des Vereins “Gegen Vergessen – Für Demokratie” ausgezeichnet.
