THIERRY BRACKE studied macroeconomics and econometrics at the Universities of Ghent, Belgium, and Aix-Marseille. In 2000, after working for three years at the National Bank of Belgium, he joined the European Central Bank. Since 2008, he has held the positions of Deputy Head of the EU Neighbouring Regions Division, Deputy Head of the International Policy Analysis Division and Head of the Secretariat Division.
REINER MARTIN studied Economics and Political Science at the Universities of Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, Bristol and Sussex and holds a Ph D from the Helmut-Schmidt University in Hamburg. He has worked at the Centre for European Policy Studies in Brussels and the German Federal Ministry of Economics in Bonn. Since 1999 he has been working at the European Central Bank where he currently holds the position of Deputy Head of the Financial Stability Analysis Division.
