Sir George Ivan Morrison, (Belfast, 1945), conocido entre sus incontables fans como Van Morrison, es un cantautor, poeta, productor discográfico y multinstrumentista considerado por muchos como uno de los creadores más importantes del siglo XX en el campo de la música popular. La extraordinaria importancia de su obra ha sido reconocida con sendos doctorados honoris causa por la Ulster University y la Queen”s University de Belfast.
