Alan Parks worked in the music industry for over twenty years before turning to crime writing. The April Dead was shortlisted for the Mc Ilvanney Prize for Scottish Crime Book of the Year and May God Forgive won the Mc Ilvanney Prize for Scottish Crime Book of the Year 2022.
