Alexander Mikaberidze is Assistant Professor ofHistory at Louisiana State University (Shreveport).He has written and edited over a dozen books, including The Battle of the Berezina: Napoleon”s GreatEscape; The Battle of Borodino: Napoleon versusKutuzov: and The Russian Officer Corps in theRevolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. He is a fellowof the British Royal Historical Society, and hasreceived awards from the International NapoleonicSociety and La Renaissance Française for hiscontributions to Napoleonic studies.
