The Falklands War lasted 74 days and ended with the Argentine surrender on June 14, 1982. On the Argentine and South American side, in short, the lack of a correct and comprehensive assessment of the conflict in all its alternatives and dynamics caused the lack of a general strategy that integrated the different State powers it covered (political, military, economic and psychological/social). On the British and European side, significant findings include the vulnerability of surface ships to anti-ship and submarine missiles, the challenges of coordinating logistical support for long-range power projections, and the reconfirmation of the importance of tactical air power, including helicopters. In the war simulation I will try to correct the flaws presented in the historical analysis, testing improvements in policies and strategies.
