The Bethany House book edited by Timothy Smith entitled The Promise of the Spirit includes Finney’s sermons on sanctification published prior to 1840; this volume contains messages on the subject which were published during 1840.This book will help the reader to a clearer understanding of the doctrine of sanctification and to Finney’s theology.
