Chris Rumford is Professor of Political Sociology and Global Politics at Royal Holloway, University of London, where he is also the Co-Director of the Centre for Global and Transnational Politics. His books include Cosmopolitan Borders; The Globalization of Strangeness, Cosmopolitan Spaces: Europe, Globalization, Theory; The Sage Handbook of European Studies (as editor); and Rethinking Europe: Social Theory and the Implications of Europeanization (with Gerard Delanty). He also co-edits the book series Routledge Studies in Global and Transnational Politics. Didem Buhari-Gulmez received her PhD in Politics and International Relations from the University of London, and is an Early Career Research Fellow at Oxford Brookes University. She has published in International Political Sociology, New Global Studies, Journal of Contemporary European Studies, and Southeast European and Black Sea Studies on European enlargement, the World Society School, and Turkish politics. She is currently co-editing a special thematic issue of the Journal of Contemporary European Studies on “Europe and World Society” and is the founding co-editor of ChangingTurkey.com.
