Edmée Elizabeth Monica Dashwood (1890–1943) was an English author most commonly known as E. M. Delafield. Born in Sussex, England, Delafield was born into an upper-class family and her upbringing is often reflected in her largely autobiographical works. Delafield’s best-known work, The Provincial Lady Series, has never been out of print.
