The Wombles live in a beautifully snug, well-ordered and cosy burrow underneath Wimbledon Common – the perfect base from which to sort and recycle all the rubbish that unthinking humans constantly drop. But the Wombles’ peaceful and harmonious existence is suddenly under threat.
